Ouseburn Arches

After packing up early this morning, we travelled across to Newcastle. We stopped at Seven Stories, the National Centre for Children’s Books.

Apart from the bookshop cafe, it was really disappointing. Closed galleries and shabby toilets (the gents’ cubicle didn’t have a door). Baby Yoda enjoyed the gallery that was open and got some new books, then we went along the road to the Ouseburn Farm for lunch.

We stopped for petrol on the way home and discovered Turnbull’s Northumbrian Food Hall in Alnwick and their Free Fizz Fridays. After a quick drink, we picked up some chicken tikka for tonight’s dinner.
