For the family

Hello Gorgeous

The postponed birthday celebrations were held today. Nothing outrageous, but the sun certainly shone for us.

We called to collect Olive, then went to Denstone Hall Farm cafe. They have a dog friendly garden room which we used as although it was blue skies, there was quite a cold wind.  We had skipped breakfast at home, so had generous sausage and bacon baps, with coffee for an early lunch. The girls impatiently waited for the last bite, which was for them. We put them back in the car for a few minutes whilst we went back into the shop to buy some cake, biscuits and naughties.

We had planned to have a walk by the Rocester lake, but couldn’t find a space to park the car, so headed home. We need to work out alternative parking areas.

I put on a load to towels to wash before we went out, planning to dry them outdoors when we got back. The clothes dryer socket is in the rock garden and has been covered up for about 6 months. Much to my surprise I found a small toad tucked under the edge of the cap. I’m not a fan of these …..so I got B to remove it and relocate him to the other side of the road. There is a nice boggy ditch to rest in.

The towels dried quickly, but were like cardboard. I will continue to dry them in the tumble dryer, to hell with the expense!!

We had an enjoyable restful day.
