Kiel

Sunny afternoon exploring Kiel - really like being here (more to my liking than either Amsterdam or Hamburg!).  

But found it very difficult to come up with a good set of pictures that did Kiel justice, possibly to do with the fact that the city was almost entirely rebuilt in the 1940s and 50s.  

The picture shows an old warehouse (one of the few left standing), a modern harbour building and one of the many huge  cruise-ferries than frequent the harbour.

Next step is a boat, but there's such a choice.  Ferries to Sweden, Norway and Lithuania and lots of Baltic cruises set off from here too.
