An unexpected surprise

We Walked part of the Fife Coastal Path this morning .... Cellardyke towards Crail in dry but rather windy conditions. We were walking into the sun so coastal photos were a bit hit or a miss.

Spotted a couple of cormorants sitting on top of a rock but they were just too far away. A few Eider Ducks paddling about in the shallow pools keeping well out of the.way of the mighty waves.  Although in the distance I took a few shots of the large white ducks ..... downloaded the photos and found that one of the pictures was of a pair of Shelducks and not male Eiders.
A first sighting for me of those lovely ducks.
