Kendal visit

We awoke to a typical Kendal morning, with low clouds creating a fine drizzle. We had planned to go into town, as Barbara had brought with her over one thousand pounds in bank notes from before our changeover to plastic notes. So not legal tender!
Having checked on Google, it seemed we could pay it into the Halifax and it would be ok.
And in fact that was the case. The automatic machine wouldn’t swallow it, but the clerk accepted it and we withdrew some real money!
To celebrate we went to cafe Marra for a delicious coffee and pastries on Barbara!
She also bought us some smokes haddock from the fishmonger and some beef for tomorrow’s roast dinner.
We do spend a lot of time considering food!
