If you can't beat them...

Borage. ( Borago officinalis )

We are heading back home today but there was no rush so we decided to have a run out to The Secret Herb Garden.  To our surprise it seems to have renamed itself The Secret Garden.  Gone are the benches of herbs for sale, which is a shame as they had some interesting and difficult to find herbs.  Now the whole thrust seems to on the cafe and gin distillery.

The cafe was very busy with a couple of large parties having reserved tables.  However they found us a table in a lovely position.  A little alcove among the greenhouse plant very secluded and quiet.

One of the plants growing in profusion around us was Borage.  The hairiness of the stems always catches my eye.  What caught my eye even more was the odd aberant flower coloured a soft pink.  I am not familiar enough with Borage to know if it is something to do with the stage of growth pf the flower.  However  I doubt that as we have Borage and I have never noticed a pink one.
