Trees in Fairmilehead Park

Back Blip
A busy day as partner, twin 2 and I are going down to see my eldest son and wife who live in Biggar. Quite sunny in Edinburgh, so a nice view of Trees in the park. A lot more green appearing now.

We get to Biggar at lunchtime. Unfortunately the shop that sells really nice home made quiches has sold out of the veggie ones. So all five of us opt for a nice wee filled baguette to eats at eldest son's house.

After lunch, we go for a walk along a fairly flat route. Extra 1 is of Cadger's Bridge, which was a pack horse bridge beside the old ford. These days the bridge is only used as a footbridge.. The Ford can still be used, but not recommended. Extra 2 shows a view of Tinto Hill, which rises to 711m ASL. At the top, there is a Bronze Age Cairn. Just after taking this picture, there is a wee wintry rain shower, very cold. So we head back in to town and buy some cakes to have with afternoon coffee at eldest son's house. I set up the laptop, my old laptop, for my son before the three of use depart back to Edinburgh. Although sunny in Edinburgh, the cool conditions seem to have followed us back up the road.
