Getting worse before it gets better

It's been another day of house jobs and working on the stairs.  And what do you know, it's a bank holiday tomorrow so I get another day of working on the stairs.  Yay.

Thanks for all of last week's suggestion about a heat gun - I found one with decent reviews from screw fix for about the same cost of a tub of paint stripper so went with that.  It did a decent job, but again the edges proved tricky so that will be tomorrow's sanding job.  Looking forward to actually being able to get the paint and stain on them!
