Slides or sliders?

Our church manager could not be around this morning. With 5 minutes to go before the first service I tried to work out the console to get the microphones and sound system working.

Despite years of hospital broadcasting I was always behind the microphone and not operating controls.

Fortunately one of the congregation who does know what to do turned up and all was well. A task for the future : learn which buttons to push and controls to slide. Are they called sliders, or is that just used for small bite sized food?

Otherwise the temperate rose several degrees which made some (gentle) work in the garden possible like getting the grass cut.
