Sweet Smells

Having seen a post on FB from one of my friends, it reminded me that it was time to make another visit to Ramster Gardens near Chiddingfold, especially as this month they are hosting a Surrey Sculpture Society exhibition.

This mainly woodland garden was still full of bluebells, along with wild garlic, rhododendron and azalea plus a wonderful array of sculptures. The smells throughout the woods were divine.

One of my last spots of the day were this small clump of lily-of-the-valley. The smell always reminds me of my late Nan and even now, over 30 years since she passed, a sweet smell still emanates from some of the keepsakes we have of her.
