NO ROT FISHES

The reason why I occasionally tut/scowl and grab something out of the recycling has been noticeably illustrated over the past few days by the green bin, into which someone had evidently snuck an unrinsed piece of fish packaging, probably without even first separating the unrecyclable top film. I made do with remembering to hold my breath when adding things until it was emptied this morning, whereupon it was rinsed out twice before settling down to bleach for a day or two until the crate in the kitchen starts overflowing.
