A bird (collage) day

We went for a walk around Roath Park today in glorious warm sunshine. I took lots of photos, hence the collages. There were lots of coot families with young chicks being fussed over by their parents, geese formation flying, swans feeding and grooming, an interesting looking albino pigeon and a terrapin sunning itself - all in the extra.
Towards the end of the walk, we watched a heron close up as it stalked the fish that we could also see in the shallows. At one point it struck and quickly gobbled up a small fish. Using burst mode, the main collage captures this though you can’t see the fish but you can take my word that it swallowed something down.
