This evening after dark we made our way to the local marina at Motueka, NZ. to witness Aurora Australis.

It was such an exciting experience and something I never expected to see.



A rare geomagnetic space storm caused by solar activity put power and communication systems around the world on alert today.

The storm meant aurora was more spectacular than usual and could be seen over most of NZ, and around the world.
