Banded Demoiselle

Missed out on the aurora last night as I wasn't aware that it was going to happen as I don't really monitor stuff like that. I was a bit miffed but there's always tonight if I can stay awake. 

This morning I had a couple of hours at Pennington Flash and it lived up to it's name - a flash of blue of the kingfisher, a flash from the willow tit, but nothing really outstanding on the bird front. 

I had a walk by the little stream next to the golf course to see if there were any dragons or damselflies about and was thrilled to find a couple of demoiselles. I think this is a female banded demoiselle, but happy to be corrected.
