Summer?

P had a meeting at the edge of Bury St Edmunds in the early afternoon so S & I dropped him off & went down to the Rougham Estate for a walk. S was protesting a bit because of the heat (around 20 deg C with a light breeze) but the walk had a fair proportion of shady woods & lanes, as well as field paths, so it seemed OK for a Springer - & fine for me! There were some wide strips of pretty wildlife seed mixes in some of the fields, including crimson clover, Phacelia and white and yellow crucifers which were probably fodder radish and oilseed rape or mustard. I'd only taken my compact camera and the sun made it difficult to see what it was doing, but the Blip gives an idea of the mass of colour on a breezy day. Rougham Church is in the background.
