LICENSE PLATES

We met at the Wade House in Greenbush this morning at the invitation of Road America to all state holders of Road America license plates.  The State of Wisconsin issues "specialty" license plates at a slightly greater cost than normal plates....a fee of $15.  I did not know that it takes a special effort to get such plates made including a petition signed by X number of individuals.

It was hoped that the sale would prove to be beneficial as advertising for RA.  It was hoped that we'd be able to sell 500 plates.  Expectation reached and surpassed. About 2,700 plates were registered when the design debuted in 2021.  According to official records, there were nearly 20,000 on the roads by 2023.  There are more Road America themed license plates on the roads than Green Bay Packers license plates.  Anytime you can beat the Packers in any  situation that is saying something positive.
