Taming the Trees

An early start (for a Saturday) to join a morning photography workshop with Simon Turnbull. Following his talk for our camera club on Tuesday evening, he'd offered to run a workshop to allow members a chance to put some of his good advice and guidance into practice. We met in Ashridge and had a very mindful morning in the trees. Simon gave lots of hints and tips, getting us to slow down, to look harder and really think about shapes and compositions. It was a good session.

Annie and some of our friends gathered together and visited locations open as part of Oxfordshire Artweeks. It was then everyone back to ours for pizza before we set out in the hope of seeing some northern lights at Brill windmill. It was a popular destination and we stayed until around 12.30am but failed to see anything. Nevermind.
