Castigliano del Lago

A drive south today for 3 5 hrs to Perugia and this ancient lakeside town. We visited once before for an hr en route north and now have 2 days to explore. Famous for its Pentagonal shaped castle built in 1247 and perched above the lake, this town is steeped in history, boasts a beautiful old street with lots of places to eat, drink and shop (mostly local 'foodie' stuff).
Very warm today and we.enjoyed eating pizza and drinking rose on a balmy evening  in the old town.
