Honister Pass.

Not a lot to be said about this other that I hope the occupants were OK,  To the left of this photo and higher up is Honister slate mine and associated attractions.  This car is at the bottom of the steepest part of the Pass on the Crummock Water side, (The other side leads into Borrowdale and then Keswick.)  The signs say 20% and 25% and the roads are 'twisty.'  I have no idea how this happened, but the front of the car has hit stonework of a bridge.
Honister plays a part in a cycling challenge, (no I haven't done it,) called the Fred Whitton Challenge, a yearly challenge where 2500 cyclists cycle 112  miles over all the Lakeland passes.  Accidents have happened on this Pass as they whizz on to Buttermere.
There is more information if you Google 'Fred Whitton.'  If you look at the videos part of the route is STEEP!
