Into the past

In Sydney today, I revisited my childhood home from the late 1940s. In those days, this was the outer fringe of suburbia. What is now an ordered parkland was, 70 years ago, wild jungly bushland with a burbling untamed creek. My friends and I spent all our free time exploring this bushland, our secret and private domain. No adults ever thought of supervising us. As a result, I suspect that we learned to enjoy the world of nature, and to be somewhat independent and resourceful. Just thinking :-)).
