Civic Hall

Into Holmfirth early afternoon for a haircut. Hmmm. Not entirely happy with the result - maybe I need to try a different hairdresser. Never mind, it'll look better when it grows a bit!

I had arranged to meet MrM afterwards, outside the doctor's surgery where he had a routine appointment. But I was a bit early, and had time to browse around a couple of shops first. They had a few much-reduced gilets by a reputable 'outdoor' company at the mill shop, and I invested in one for next winter. After meeting MrM we had coffee and cake at Unity Yard Art Café, and walked home the long way round in a rather half-hearted attempt to burn off a few of the calories!

Soul Choir in the evening, after which I walked to Picturedrome to watch MrM play in a band at an open mic session. The band was formed to perform at the folk festival this coming weekend, and they wanted a practice in front of a live audience beforehand. They played twice this evening, and I hadn't anticipated being there so long - it was a very late night...

Passed the Civic Hall on the way to Picturedrome. Hadn't realised that the arch lit up at night.
