Saved by a Wagtail..

..my Blip, that is. A bright, warm, but very breezy day, so tried to concentrate on the tasks I needed to finish as prowling around the garden with the macro lens would have been pretty unproductive. Told myself I'd find something on this evening's short local walk but it became greyer and greyer and the few birds around were too far away - and the plants were still dancing in the wind. Had almost given up, but then a wagtail appeared on the wires above. It seemed quite agitated & I assumed it was a juvenile, but on closer inspection (and after increasing the exposure during processing) it did have a well developed white face & black bib. Maybe a female disturbed from her nest??
