The Red Door

Today with our small photography group we did quite a lot of miles over country roads stopping when our eyes saw something we wanted to photograph
It was a glorious afternoon and great happy company, This is my first shot of the day not to far from Rainies. This no longer a church but still in good condition
My extras are Limestone outcrop, Native cabbage tree . healthy looking pheasant in a very untidy background, The stone church is in our parish and I have taken Christmas services there. It won the architects prize for NZ in 1934. It is so beautiful inside , not a nail in it, pews hewn out of wood , awesome pulpit and incredible acoustics.
All in all a fabulous day out. Lots of days I am scrounging to get a blip and today an abundance of them hence the extras
