The Lozarithm Lens

Diary Blip (Tuesday 14th May 2024)

If you've ever wondered what the inside of an electric charger for a car looks like, this is its 'brain'. Possibly only of interest to steveng! Anyway I have been having trouble with detaching the cable from the charger after charging Buzz. It would only unlock after disconnecting the charger from the mains supply at its fuse box.

First, some time ago, they came out to replace the socket and the lock device, then they came again to check all the interior wiring and so forth, and this third visit involved replacing this circuit board. Each time the tests seemed to have fixed the issue but hadn't, but did establish that I hadn't been doing anything wrongly. This time the test was made using my own 17.5m cable and it worked, so I do hope that continues to be the case.
