out “
That does not mean the end of the month. It means the opening of the blossom on the May tree, properly known as Hawthorne of course but also by many other names. As you can see here it is well and truly open. So you can leave your fleece at home. But a little roll up raincoat might be wise.

The Coast to Coaster is doing well. Just had a text to say that he has crossed the M6 and West coast mainline footbridges. So he is out of the Lake District National Park and is now in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
