Another Garden

We drove home today, with a stop at Coffs Harbour Regional Botanic Garden where I photographed this Lewin's Honeyeater. This bird is common in our area, more often identified by its 'machine-gun rattle' call than an actual sighting. I wondered about the name Lewin's, and found that it's named after John William Lewin, who Wikipedia says was the first professional artist of the colony of New South Wales, who illustrated the earliest volumes of Australian natural history.
