Finding the way

A few miles from where I now live, at RAF Scampton (where my wife was the first and only female Station Commander, but not at the time of the event!) Operation Chastise was launched 81 years ago tonight. Later known as the Dambusters Raid, this is one of the compasses used during the operation.
