Abby’s 18th birthday. Had a lovely day despite Abby’s first A-level tomorrow. Began with presents then out for breakfast before home for Abby to revise for the rest of the day - interspersed with presents, birthday cake and lovely (but brief due to study) visits from friends. Mixed emotions for Abs - excitement, bday joy but apprehensive and at times highly anxious. Bday messages from Han who is currently in Vietnam. Didn’t manage to co-ordinate a video call - had a missed call at 3:20am though! - time difference and variable connection causing havoc!
So grateful to spend the day with Abs, to be able to celebrate in the midst of exams, to remember and give thanks.
