Cherry - Autumn leaves

I wasn't expecting to see autumn colour up north because of the milder climate so was surprised to see so much of it.  However I realise now that it was quite bland compared with the colours of colder climates.  
We came home today and the autumn colours in our garden are quite intense.  There have been a few frosts while we have been away and the garden is definitely in Autumn mode. This is one of our cherry trees.
