My sister had texted asking if I was home as she wanted to drop something off for me. 

It was late in the day when she arrived with my niece and nephew in tow AND a gorgeous lap blanket, which she had lovingly crocheted for the sole purpose of van use - she had the colours absolutely spot on and I was very touched. I'll pop a photo up as and when the van is a decent enough shape to display the blanket properly.

What with their visit and then meeting my brother in law later on for drinks, it was a great lead in to the weekend and a welcome reminder of how life can change in just a few short days.
