Day by Day

Lower Engadin

A very active morning with two Bernese Mountain Dogs (same race but with long hair and often slightly smaller) in the lower Engadin between Lavin and Giarsun. Followed by a al fresco lunch on the terrace of the Hotel Piz Linard.

We had Plain in Pigna. This dish belongs to the Engadine just like the sunshine and the snow. Plain in pigna is made with chopped potato and meat, it is baked in a wood-fired oven over glowing embers until crisp: a rustic, old-fashioned dish that brings long-forgotten flavours to the palate.

Sleeping all afternoon. Great day with friends and dogs.
