North Berwick Doorstop!

We left Aberlady after breakfast and followed the Scottish Golf Route to North Berwick.
Such a lovely town. Last time we were here I spent a lot if time getting a good shot of the Bass Rock, it was swathed in mist today. We had a coffee on the headband in the Scottish Seabird Centre. You can get boat trips from here to the Bass Rock and to the Isle of May in the Firth of Fourth.
Before leaving we took a walk down the High Street. There has been a tulip festival in the town and there were surprisingly large numbers still in bloom and looking great.
Some houses had green plaques on them, all related to people involved in golf who lived there.

Next to the Life Boat station were some pretty colourful houses.
I liked this planter being used as a doorstop.

It was off down the A1 then to visit our sil in Northumberland. She has just moved house and yet was lovely to spend the afternoon with her.

We finally arrived home at 8.00pm having returned to tge sun in Yorkshire.

Lots of things have grown in the garden and lots of things needing watering! One load of washing is already on!

We’ve had a fantastic holiday and we will be back next year all being well. Thank you for following and for your stars and many hearts. Much appreciated.
