Fish for breakfast?

Just about every morning, there’s a group of about half a dozen stalwart early-risers fishing from the jetty.
Can well understand fishing for blue-swimmer crabs to cook for breakfast - out of season here at the moment, the month of May not having a requisite ‘r’ in it - but Tommy ruffs, garfish, squid or King George whiting as the first meal of the day?
Good way to get an early dose of protein for the day, I guess. But for me, seafood seems just a little too rich (in smell and taste) and downright fishy for eating first thing in the morning.
If you can hold off waiting until lunchtime to consume your catch, your mouth will have had sufficient time to work its way up to - and embrace - all that rich fishiness.
Lunch also helps justify having a glass of crisp white wine with the food.
Not sure why, but people do look funny at you if you have a gentle Pinot Grigio first thing in the morning. Let alone a feisty Riesling.
