I've hit a real mental wall with my running lately. I've got the fear that it's only 10 weeks til the Great North Run, and I feel really behind on my training. In truth, I'm only about one long run behind, but I am just getting such negative mental blocks when I'm running. I feel like it's 'too far' and that I can't do it- my legs then feel all floppy and weak and I feel like I have no energy. I KNOW that I can do these distances, but for some reason my mind is working against me. It's also so bloody hot for running at the moment! I looked up some positive mental techniques when I got home, so will try to give them a go on my next run on Weds.
