Disarray

A quick blip today and one showing the progress of Edinburgh's tramworks on Shandwick Place. This has been a common scene over the last few years and one which I pass every day on my short walk from Haymarket station to work.

I took this blip on my way to having lunch with a friend and his Swedish colleague. We were having lunch at the Sheraton Hotel. Not in the hotel, you understand, but on the steps outside at the front of the hotel!

A certain bit cooler today than of late, which is especially welcome. The sun did arrive out but around 3pm. The temperature was around 21C to end the day and was quite pleasant indeed.

The journey home was much more pleasant than last evening. Scotrail's heat-related disruption even made it on to the front pages of the newspapers!
