The first, tiny 'bobby' (blue tongue) of the season. He would snuggle happily into two small, cupped palms.

Lazing in the sun, Astro spotted 'baby bobby' on our bush track walk this afternoon and was pleased as punch. He has learned to stay clear of the jaws though, regardless of how small they are. The darting blue tongue is a formidable sight.

(Snuggling and bobtail are not words that usually fit together, however I have a photo somewhere of younger son P aged six with a tiny bobtail cupped in his hands and they both look very happy. There again P is a bit of a 'critter whisperer'!)
