Ready for take-off!

The swallows nesting in the porch of Sara's summer-house took to the air for the first time today just after this shot was taken. The parents circled about, calling the youngsters to get airborne, and off they went. They returned to the nest overnight and then left completely. The parents will continue to feed them for a while before they all set off for Africa...
