Who you lookin at...

Another hot, hot day today. Technically the forecast was correct in that it is cooler than yesterday, but given that it was boiling yesterday, it can hardly be described as cool today. I cannot remember the last time we had a prolonged period of hot, dry weather like this, it must be many years ago since the last time it happened.

After a morning out with Yes East Renfrewshire I decided to press ahead with the dismantling of the swing and the trampoline this afternoon (see yesterday's blip), but it was too hot to finish it today. We now have a quarter of the swing left and only the base part of the trampoline, so progress is being made.

As I knew what was lurking under the slabs around the base of the trampoline I decided to lift another one, with my camera at the ready for the inevitable dash for cover.

This Slater decided to play the wee hard man by coming up to the camera and trying to stare it out so I took his picture.

Really pleased with the detail of the Slater's head and the armour plating it has, but the unexpected bonus is the extremely tiny insect which can be seen behind/under the Slater's right feeler (left as you look at the photo). This insect must be no bigger than a couple of grains of sand!

This blip is well worth looking at large as the detail is great.
