Disintegration!!

We've had this 16" pedestal fan for several years and used it perhaps about a dozen times, yesterday was so hot I dragged it out again and it literally exploded into fragments the moment it reached any speed at all...it seems plastic fan blades are a total no no, or this happens:(

Another is on it's way though for Wednesday if we're lucky:)
