pont des arts "lovelocks" ...........

the pont des arts on the seine joins the louvre with the left bank. tradition has been formed where you write your love message on a padlock, fasten it to the bridge and through your key into the seine as a sign of your undying love for each other.

there is another bridge which may look similar but be careful which one you choose the pont des arts is for your committed love and the pont de l'archevêché is for your lover.

perhaps like marmite it's a love or hate thing ..... on the hate arguement, does it break tradition ? is it littering and poor for the environment ? ..... for me i loved it ............
