Leopard Slug

So my enthusiasm for gardening hasn't run out yet and as I was tacking another weed-festival area I uprooted this weird looking creature. Only responsive I've had to it so far is that 'it looks like it belongs in Africa'. Anyone else wish to identify this creature. Unfortunately it's now in next doors Garden!!!
