Its only Ducking Tuesday

Emily would be very proud we've nicked her 'Duck Tuesday'. Not easily though, after messy play our first stop was the canal. Such snobby ducks were not happy with out leftover burger buns. Thankfully our second trip to the lake came up trumps and we were inundated with feathered friends.

The afternoon was spent reading books in the garden. I wanted L to change her clothes to something cooler but apparently everything other than her Toy Story T-shirt that was drying on the line is just too itchy to wear.

L's been copying M as she listens to her Micheal Jackson CDs. Little unfortunate that the only part of Heal the World she remembers is 'there are, people dying'. Repeat that 10 times in a row and she starts to sound like a very troubled 3 year old.

After school I had a committee meeting for the toddler group I helped run 10 years ago. We are trying to close the account so we can dissolve the group and spend the money on a reunion but the banks rules and regs are difficult to satisfy. We got there a bit early. Its so hot out there that we were getting a bit hot and bothered waiting for the chairperson to come and let us in. How sweet that some friends who lived nearby came and dropped off some ice lollies for the girls. :-)

The older 2 found out their teachers for next year today. M didn't care who she got and was just overjoyed she's back with her best friend Lauren again. Lucky escape for E too as she could've ended up with this years teacher again as he's following up to year 5 with them. She's got the other teacher though. She just really needs this fresh start.

ION: my face is emerging with some cracking mosquito bites today. 7 and counting. One right on my eyelid with is rather fetching
