Perfect Weather for a long hill climb.

Fabulous views today up the "top" of the summit road, after a hard fast slog up the track. Well worth the effort and the views of the mountains the other direction, and the sea to the east make Christchurch living seem idyllic.
Was also amazing to see groups of elderly joggers, I swear over 80s all of them, turn up at the top and turn around and shuffle all the way back down. When I was leaving I saw that they had parked down the hill proper on the flat, whereas the rest of us park up by the gate entrance. Most incredible and impressive and very humbling.
