#waterofleith trickle

First picture of the day. Often the best. Taken just around the corner from us, where there used to be a Gormley. Now, no Gormley but an utter profusion of willow trees, which are doubtless drawing plenty of water from the increasing low river. You wouldn't believe that this was 'urban gritty Leith', would you? And indeed all around us is classic 'brownfield' - in the sense that this was an industrial area (and in some ways still is). But the Water of Leith represents an important lung for the city.

This hot dry weather is becoming increasingly weird.
