What'll ya have?

The Varsity is an Atlanta landmark. Established in 1928, it used to be a drive-in (the world's largest, they say), complete with roller skating car hops. It's mostly dine-in now - the small drive-up area is really more for nostalgia's sake than anything else, and the roller skates are long gone.

But it still has a certain 1950's vibe, from the paper hats, to the red and white color scheme, to the customary Varsity greeting - "What'll ya have?"

It also has excellent chili dogs, and the best onion rings in Atlanta on a good day (you don't want them on a bad day).

Oh, and for some mysterious reason, the fountain Cokes always taste better there than anywhere else. Always. Legend is, there's an underground pipeline from the restaurant directly to Coca-Cola headquarters a few blocks over.

Of course, that's never been proven....
