Millau Viaduct

While Chris was off watching hovercraft racing yesterday, I was driving through Northern France on my way down to Spain. Today I set off from Clermont Ferrand (about 2/3 of the way down) and made my way down to the amazing Millau Viaduct. It is the world's tallest bridge and surprisingly beautiful to look at. Designed by Norman Foster, it manages to be slender and graceful despite being taller than the Eiffel Tower in places. I ventured also down underneath it, and spent a few minutes just staring up in wonderment.

Then on through a couple of hours of wiggly mountain roads, so I can collect another country on my list of those visited: Andorra.
