Iditarod Champion

I took a side tour tonight to the kennel of four-time Iditarod champion Jeff King. Here he is playing with one of his dogs, Kroner.

I was surprised how funny he was. I found out about this 7 pm tour just three hours earlier. It fulfilled one of my dreams. I was so excited to be there. I even jumped in and put the words in his mouth when he was talking about the early '80's when it was a time when a t-shirt was going around that said:
Jeff - "Alaska,"
Me - "where men are men and women win the Iditarod!"
The crowd burst out in laughter.

I later bought his book and got his autograph. To meet such an Iditarod rock star was amazing.
