Summertime - a day late

This is deliberately overblown to accentuate the summer colours as the crops slowly ripen and will soon be harvested...then we know the year is on the turn.

It's late this year though, so the farmers hereabouts will be worrying about getting the harvest in and the winter crop sown.

I spotted the fox the other day but naturally didn't have my camera with me. I'll keep looking. The cubs should be around now too.
