Monday 13 July 2009: Autumn colours

While we are in the midst of winter, some plants have started to show growth reserved for the coming of spring ... we had a few weeks of moderate temperatures and this is perhaps the reason for the early budding.

On the other hand, two gigantic old English Oaks have clung to their leaves and are still shedding what leaves are left ..... But at the tips at the top, new leaves have started to make their appearance.

Very early.

It almost seems as if nature is impatient and in a hurry ... seasonal activities and changes are overlapping and spilling into another ..
