Trap

Last night excellent viewing, the 4 Corners programme on ABC (Australia) on weed killers vis-a-vis that Australia has no adequate management over the level of imported chemicals view of dioxin levels...

I was buying some mouse traps this evening and noticed this product 'Big Cheese Rat Trap'. Reckon I smelt a rat that I picked it up to see what it was. Astonishing that it looks as if it is not a small item yet selling for $2.75.

What ingredient (pre-baited as it is) on the face of our planet could possibly be so incredible as an item of rat destruction, yet only cost that small amount.

Who knows? The external print contains not a single clue what its active ingredients are. Clearly whatever it is not fit for human consumption given the detailed instructions on the base of the back of the packet including that it cannot be used for the control of native rodents without permission from wildlife authorities (implying that with that permission it is suitable for the control of native rodents!)

I remember a day when securing the law (as far as I was knew) that ingredients in products were to be listed was akin to securing the Holy Grail! I must have missed something!
